About Jon

Jon Center is a proud native of Highland Park, having attended Red Oak Elementary, Edgewood Middle School, and Highland Park High School (Class of 2003). He now has the privilege of raising his two children with his wife, Becky, in the same town he loves.

As someone who is not a career politician, Jon brings fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the table. He deeply values transparency, believing that meaningful dialogue and open communication are essential for fostering trust within the community. This commitment to transparency is not just a personal principle; it is also a cornerstone of his professional journey as a former “Big 4” auditor and a licensed CPA.

With 10+ years experience in public accounting and currently serving as CFO/COO of a real estate investment company, Jon’s expertise in managing finances and driving economic development positions him to promote small business growth and job creation in Highland Park. His financial acumen will ensure that every tax dollar is spent wisely, fostering opportunities for entrepreneurs and local businesses to flourish.

Jon is dedicated to elevating every aspect of Highland Park to best-in-class status, striving to make it a safe, inclusive, and thriving place for families and businesses alike.

Recently, Jon completed a five-year term on a nonprofit board, where he served as Treasurer, Vice President, and President. This experience underscores his commitment to service and his ability to lead and bring meaningful change to Highland Park.

In his free time, when he’s not working, being a dedicated husband and dad, or helping the community, Jon loves to golf and enjoys spending time at Highland Park’s very own Sunset Valley Golf Club.
